Shea Labagh Dobberstein appoints Bill Wright to expand Advisory practice
Bill Wright, an experienced ‘private-company’ mergers and acquisitions professional, has now joined Shea Labagh Dobberstein (SLD) as a Principal. Over the past decade, Wright has partnered with SLD on a number of its advisory engagements. The firm is extremely fortunate to have him join as a permanent member of the team.
A former PricewaterhouseCoopers Director and Bank of America Corporate Banker, Wright has over thirty years of expertise in servicing the needs of privately-held companies, and their owners and executives. Wright will lead the Advisory practice, and work with the firm’s clients on their mergers and acquisition transaction needs, and other complex financing requirements. He will also be representing SLD in the Bay Area business community.
James Dobberstein, Managing Director of SLD, said, “At this stage of growth in our business, I am pleased to welcome Bill Wright to the team. We have had tremendous success working with him over the years and have developed a great working relationship. Bill was instrumental to our engagement with CAC Group and their sale to CBRE Group, Inc. last year in what was one of the largest sale transactions of a real estate brokerage and property manager in San Francisco. His extensive expertise complements our team and furthers our commitment to our clients of offering the best professionals in the industry.”
Said Wright, “I am honored to be joining such a well-respected member of the Bay Area business community. In addition to assisting the firm’s clients with their transaction needs, I look forward to broadening our relationships in the region.”
Originally from London, England, Wright graduated from San Jose State and then went on to earn his M.B.A. at Thunderbird Graduate School in Arizona. He has taught accounting at Golden Gate University and lectured at the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley. Wright lives in San Francisco, has a daughter studying law, and plays guitar in a local rock band!
