San Francisco, CA – December 01, 2015 – Shea Labagh Dobberstein CPAs, Inc. (SLD), a leading CPA firm in the Bay Area, announced the addition of Jenea Smith, CPA, as a director in the firm’s Audit practice in its San Francisco office.
Smith will be providing consulting and audit services to a range of the firm’s business clients, as well as overseeing the professional staff. Her experience includes fourteen years of public accounting, focusing on financial statement assurance, employee benefit plan audits and regulatory compliance services. Her industry expertise includes clients in construction, professional services, wholesale, winery and nonprofit organizations.
Over the course of her career, Smith has worked with individuals of high net worth, specifically with their business entities. Prior to this, she worked in private industry as a Controller and as a Consultant helping hundreds of small businesses in business planning, set up and regulatory compliance.

Smith earned her B.A. in Economics with an emphasis in Business from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a certified public accountant and member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Public Accountants (CalCPA). She serves as a Board Member at the East Bay Chapter of CalCPA, where she is the Chapter Chair for the Financial Literacy Committee and Liaison for the Statewide Grassroots Government Affairs Committee. Her community activities include volunteering with and serving on the boards of nonprofit organizations in Napa, Alameda, San Francisco and Solano counties. She is a member of the Oakland Rotary No. 3, proudly serving on the Community Services Committee.
In her spare time, Smith is an avid golfer and fishwoman, and cooks Cajun cuisine.
