Bill Wright, CTA, MBA, leads the firm’s Financial Advisory Services (FAS) Practice and has been a Principal at Shea Labagh Dobberstein since 2014. He serves as the firm’s senior M&A consultant assisting clients in sell-side engagements, locating debt sources and engaged in post-merger litigation support. Bill also oversees the firm’s business development and marketing activities.
Previously, Bill had a 30-year career as an M&A accounting and finance executive, a turnaround CFO, a turnaround private equity investor and a commercial banker. He was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bank of America and Recovery Equity Partners.
Originally from London, England, Bill graduated from San Jose State University in California, and holds an MBA from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management (Arizona State University). He has lectured at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and previously taught accounting at Golden Gate University, San Francisco. Bill is a Certified Turnaround Analyst and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
Bill is the former President of San Francisco’s Hillhouse Club, past Secretary and Board Member of ACG-San Francisco, and former elected Councilmember and President of the Board of Kensington, California.
Bill lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He enjoys playing guitar in a rock band.
