Janet Langer, CPA, has over three decades of experience working in public accounting, complemented by four years in the private sector as an Accounting Manager for a manufacturing company. Her tax compliance background includes a variety of business entities structures, with an emphasis in real estate partnerships and high net worth clients.
Janet began her tax career in Santa Barbara with Damitz, Brooks, Nightingale, Turner and Morrisset in the late eighties. She later moved to the Bay Area Peninsula to continue her management career in public accounting. She worked at Elwood, Espina and Ferrell until 2007, when the firm merged with Shea Labagh Dobberstein. After about eight years, she left to explore other options in 2014, before returning to the firm in 2016. Her experience in both the private sector and public accounting has provided her with an extensive understanding of how to improve and clarify clients’ businesses. She works closely with high net worth individuals in providing tax advice and navigating complicated tax scenarios.
Janet is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs, as well as the California State Society of CPAs. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Economics and Film Studies.
Janet enjoys being outdoors for physical activity; attending SF Giants games; and spending time with family, friends and her adopted Maltipoo dog.
